London Indian film festival was started in the year 2010 with the intention of promoting Independent Indian films which screened Love, Sex aur Dhoka for the first time and Gangs of Wassepur in the subsequent year which were main stream Bollywood movies. Lucia director Pawan Kumar was approached by London Indian film festival committee to send full version of the film after watching the trailer. On viewing Lucia, committee members has decided to screen the movie at London which makes Lucia as first Kannada movie to be premiered in London Indian film festival, 2013.

Kannada movie Lucia was called as an Internet revolution in the field of Entertainment which was funded by common audience across the globe is getting the right push in terms of publicity and distribution day by day. Lucia was in news even before the production stage which is generally observed in the movie casting big stars. Crowd funding, Movie made in 50 lakh rupees, use of young talents like Poornachandra Tejaswi, Naveen, It’s audio launch were few highlights of Lucia and now it’s in the news for World premiere at London.

 

Pawan Kumar’s Lucia is selected for World premiere by London Indian film festival which will be screened at Cine World theater, London on July 20th, 2013 and second premiere on July 21st, 2013 at Institute of London contemporary art Theaters, London. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Monsoon Shootout and Bombay Talkies are the other few Indian films to be screened at London Indian film festival
